Customer required to update a legacy product with new electronics so we redesigned the entire device, keeping the initial functionalities of it and adding new ones. This device measures very accurately the Time-to-Stop of industrial presses to make sure adequate safety distance is kept between the press machine and the operator. It keeps a log of the time vs distance and alarms operator when the time to stop is not within the safety limits. We used an ARM Cortex-M4 Microcontroller, STM32F411RE with external real-time-clock battery and interface with Display, membrane and Bluetooth Module for future IoT integration.
